Sales up at Harrogate new homes sites

Bellway Homes’ Yorkshire division says it feels like everyone wants to live in Harrogate after sales soared at two of its developments in the town.

Bellway Homes’ Yorkshire division says it feels like everyone wants to live in Harrogate after sales soared at two of its developments in the town.

St George’s Walk, which borders the Rossett Nature Reserve, has seen 18 sales in just three months and is now 85 per cent sold with just 10 homes left for sale. Sales at Jubilee Park in Pannal have been every bit as impressive and with a new phase, complete with new house types, sizes and elevations due to be launched in March, it’s anticipated sales will climb even further.

Meanwhile, the final home on Bellway’s Dalesway development sold at the end of January. Built close to Killinghall on Skipton Road, the now complete development comprises 168 three and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached homes.

Paula Murdoch, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales manager, said: “Harrogate has huge appeal to buyers from all walks of life and because of its global renown sales enquiries aren’t restricted by geographical boundaries in the way they are in many other towns and cities.”

“In fact, at Dalesway we had a buyer from the Netherlands who chose Harrogate over buying near to London because on their first visit to the town they fell in love with it.”

Prices at Jubilee Park currently range from £237,995 for a two-bedroom apartment through to £649,995 for five-bedroom detached Kettlewell with a double garage. While prices for the remaining 10 homes at St George’s Walk start at £324,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached Beswick.

“Based on the last few months, it certainly feels like calling Harrogate home is becoming an aspiration for ever more people,” added Paula.
