After last year’s first lockdown, the popular attraction closed its doors on hosting children’s parties, live events and school trips at its 7500sq ft Farsley base.

However, defying all odds, they successfully relaunched the business to an online proposition – servicing their community through the 2020 summer as a pop-up, hosting hundreds of children as part of a Covid-safe holiday club.

Hazel Merlino, Rainbow Factory Managing Director, said: “We then started to pick up momentum with over 50 in-school trip bookings between September and December, bringing the joy of theatre and live, educationally-led workshops to hundreds of school children in a Covid-safe environment.

“Coupled with this, we launched a publishing arm, selling thousands of activity-based books to children across the UK through schools and customers direct to their door.

“Sadly, another lockdown meant yet again our bookings for the future months were lost over night and our future was placed in jeopardy.”

Nevertheless, they once again defied the odds of the hospitality, retail and entertainment Covid-19 collapse and launched an interactive, fully immersive make-and-do story book adventure subscription, for children aged four-10 year - The Wonder Adventure.

The monthly subscription is set to ignite children’s imaginations in a creative, dynamic and fulfilling way, while supporting key educational milestones and help to regain lost confidence in children and improve their mental wellbeing.

Hazel added: “Each edition provides new opportunities for children to face new challenges and become the heroes of their very own adventures, whilst learning new skills along the way.

Parents can watch as their child’s imagination is ignited through a variety of engaging activities that span the seven wonders of ‘active’ imaginative engagement, including; storytelling, arts & crafts, puzzles, experiments, food fun, magic and games.

All designed to support key curriculum objectives and champion Montessori learning.

The subscription is now available to buy, with a release date of February 14, coinciding with Valentine’s Day – to celebrate their LOVE for the IMAGINATION. A campaign has been launched that supports the educational outcomes and professional gains in life through the use of the Imagination. Quoting from the Velveteen Rabbit “Everything that is real was imagined first” or Einstein “Knowledge will get you from A-B, imagination will take you everywhere”.
