New Covid death recorded at Harrogate hospital as Yorkshire death toll passes 3,250

It is the second Covid death at the hospital in the last week, after another patient died there last Wednesday.

The death brings the total at the hospital to 85.

13 new deaths have been recorded at hospitals across Yorkshire and the death toll across the county now stands at 3,253.

The highest number of new deaths were recorded by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where four patients died.

NHS England releases updated figures each day showing the dates of every coronavirus-related death at hospitals in England, often including previously uncounted deaths that took place several days or even weeks ago.
