But with so many different dates and stages for each phase, it can be difficult to remember what you can do when. These are all the changes in restrictions which will come into force in the Harrogate district from Monday, March 29, as part of the first step of the easing of lockdown, and the rules which will change when step two is introduced, no earlier than Monday, April 12.

Public buildings including libraries and community centres will also be permitted to reopen.

Outdoor venues including zoos, theme parks and drive-in cinemas will also be allowed to reopen under step 2. Ripon’s Lightwater Valley has announced it will be reopening on Saturday, April 17 under the new restrictions.

Step 2 will also see the reopening of indoor leisure facilities, including swimming pools and gyms. However, people will only be allowed to use these on their own or with other members of their household, and should avoid mixing with other people.
