School's lesson in construction

Housebuilder David Wilson Homes invited the youngsters along to their Grange Park development in the village as part of the school’s changing environments work.

Steve Mattinson, Construction Director at David Wilson Homes, said: “It’s really important to engage with young people and highlight the importance housebuilding and other development work is to the local community.

“Despite being primary school age, the children were really interested in the development and had a good understanding of the positive impact new homes would have on the local community.

“We’d like to extend our thanks to the headteacher Mr Phoenix and his team for helping us to inspire and introduce our work in the community to its local children.”
