Rotary donates laptops to Goldsborough pupils

Knaresborough Rotary has donated laptops to Goldsborough School to help with the ongoing problems caused by home schooling in lockdown.

Headteacher, Zoe Pickard, said: “On behalf of the children at Goldsborough CE Primary school, we would like to extend our thanks to Knaresborough Rotary Club.

“We have been overwhelmed with their support - receiving five brand new laptops is an enormously kind gesture that will enrich the curriculum for all children.”

Knaresborough Rotary have previously donated laptops to King James’s School, Boroughbridge High School and Nidderdale High School.

Rotary spokesman Brian Souter, said: “We have negotiated a deal with Curry’s PC World, who are supporting the project.

“We are pleased to be able to help but the need is greater than we can meet alone.

“We are happy to receive donations big or small from anyone who would like to support our community work.”
