New ink firm gives away iPad as prize

A new Harrogate business has been drumming up business with a prize draw to win a brand-new iPad.

Green Ink, at Claro Court Business Centre, ran the competition to publicise its launch in the town earlier this year.

The company, which was originally founded in Leeds by Harrogate man Christian White in 2014, refills and remanufactures ink and laser cartridges, as well as providing other printer services.

“We’ve invested in all the machinery to clean and refill all types of cartridges and we’re now one of the few companies left refilling. Refilling is the greenest way to buy a cartridge hence the name Green Ink,” said Mr White.

“The ink industry is a hard, competitive market but I think if we offer something different and a great service hopefully the people of Harrogate will be happy to shop local.”

The iPad, which was worth £240, was won by Harrogate woman Jackie Heptinstall, whose name was picked out of the hat.
