Darryl Taylor Optometrists and Samantha Parker Optometrists have now been brought together and will run as one team from 13 Market Place, operating as Bayfields Knaresborough.

Darryl Taylor, former owner of Darryl Taylor Optometrists, handed over the reins of his business to Bayfields after he stepped down from his post in December.

In a letter sent to customers, he said: “Nothing’s more important to me than making sure you and your loved ones get the best care available. Which is why I’ve found a new partner to take the practice to the next level and make sure you’re well looked after in the years to come.”

Samantha Parker, who launched her business over 20 years ago, remains at the practice in a clinical role; all other members of her team will keep their jobs. Sarah Mills has been appointed as the new practice manager.

Following a full refurbishment, the practice now offers newly remodelled and best equipped testing rooms, as well as the addition of a dedicated audiology suite.

Ms Parker also addressed customers, saying: “Over the last 20 years, it’s been incredibly rewarding to treat so many members of the community, and your families.

“Now, I’m going to be stepping away from administration work, and focusing on providing the best quality care for you and your loved ones in a clinical role with Bayfields.”

Founded in 2004, Bayfields has expanded beyond its base in Bradford to become a regional, and then national, optical health brand.
