K’boro firm honoured for reservist support
Continental Data Graphics was one of 10 organisations across Yorkshire and the Humber – and the first in the UK – to be so honoured under the government’s new Employer Recognition Scheme at a ceremony at Imphal Barracks in York attended by Maj Gen John Crackett, Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff for Reserves and Cadets and the Deputy Lord-Lieutenant for North Yorkshire, Brigadier John Wardle.
Col Carron Snagge, regional chief executive of the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association, which made the awards, said that the standards of the armed forces provided employees with skills for life – motivation, self-discipline, confidence, communication, teamwork and leadership – which could all contribute positively to an employer’s bottom line.
