Happy 30th anniversary celebrations launched for legendary independent North Yorkshire brewery

One of Yorkshire’s most famous independent breweries is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

To celebrate, the legendary Black Sheep is hosting its ‘Big Birthday Bash’ at the brewery in Masham on Saturday, October 22.

It has issued an open invitation to “cask beer lovers far and wide” to come along.

The brewery will be providing food and drink, various games and entertainment as well as a chance to meet founder, Paul Theakston.

Born and bred in Masham in1992, the highly respected independent recently picked up five medals at the 2022 World Beer Awards, including one gold.

Highlights from the day of celebrations will include up to ten cask beers, a selection of street food and live music, and a Q&A session with brewery founder and the original ‘black sheep’ Paul Theakston.

Those attending will also be given the chance to join in on a variety of indoor and outdoor activities: from tasting sessions, family entertainment and games such as ‘Caskmaster’, the brewery’s fun take on the popular Channel 4 series. Prizes and beers will also be winnable for those participating.
