Meanwhile, the latest figures released by Public Health England on the number of Covid deaths and cases shows why West, South and East Yorkshire were given a higher tier than neighbours in the north.
West Yorkshire has been worst hit since the start of the pandemic last March, with Leeds recording 732 deaths and Bradford 620.
