Artist’s amazing giant frame at Brimham Rocks

Called Framing the Eagle, the giant frame is one of three such constructions created by Yorkshire artist Ashley Jackson.

Developed in partnership with the National Trust, the free standing metal frame is situated on top of a tripod construction and is similar in detail to an easel.

Ashley said: “The purpose of the frames is to encourage people to appreciate and to really see the landscape around them. I have always been in awe of nature and to have the opportunity to work with the National Trust at Brimham Rocks to highlight sculptures created by the environment and not by man is truly fantastic.”

Situated 11 miles from Harrogate and four miles from Pateley Bridge, the artist hope the frame will encourage youngsters to connect with the landscape.

Ashley said: “By viewing the landscape through the frame we are highlighting the diverse landscapes that surround us. Yorkshire encompasses it all in one county - God’s County.”
