Rock Up and Sing! ready to rock

It’s classic rock music but probably not as Harrogate audiences have ever heard it before.

They Will Rock U! sees leading community choir Rock Up and Sing! present a blockbuster concert showcasing the likes of Bat Out of Hell, Ain’t No Mountain, Wild Horses and We Are the Champions, to name but a few, this weekend.

Performing three charity shows at the Royal Hall across this Saturday and Sunday (November 8-9), the 300 voices of this family of choirs will be coming together to perform this rocking repertoire for the first time.

Rhiannon Gayle, founder and musical director of Rock Up and Sing! said: “This concert is incredibly exciting as it is the first time we have combined all the choirs in the majority of the songs and the result is quite simply staggering!”

The weekend’s concert will also introduce audiences to Rhiannon’s dynamic sidekick, Andrew Matthews - Rock Up and Sing’s newest conductor - who rehearses the Wednesday choir.
