Ont’ Sofa presents Billie Tweddle, Hotel du Vin, Harrogate.

A rare thing of beauty occurred in the cellar of the Hotel du Vin when the Ont Sofa team Ben Davis and Jason Odel put on an intimate gig with the the most amazing and beautiful singer-songwriter Billie Tweddle.

Accompanying herself on the guitar, which she also plays very well, Billie has a confidence, touched with a hint of shyness, as she approaches the microphone.

Instantly the room is silent, awestruck, as this young girl shines in the spotlight. But all too soon it’s over and the room breaths a collective sigh of contentment and respect as we all fall in love with the local talent that is Billie Tweddle.

Billie, hails from North Yorkshire and says her influences include Lana Del ray and Ron Sexsmith amongst others.

At a tender age, she writes her own songs with strong lyrics and haunting melodies, with notable ones being Secret Heart and Headlights.

Add to the mix her angelic voice and radiant beauty and you have the perfect package for a future star.
