CHEF Ian King is polishing up his act in readiness for masterminding the food and drink at one of the country’s top concerts.
International superstar Elton John will be entertaining the crowds at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate on Tuesday, June 5, and already, Ian’s ‘likeness’ to the world famous musician has been highlighted.
Ian is head chef at the venue and will be using his culinary expertise to provide the sumptuous menus for the VIP guests at the high profile event.
Heather Parry, deputy chief executive of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society said: “It’s uncanny, but since we first began work on the concert, the likeness has been mentioned more than once.
“Ian’s an amazing chef, but he’s also a big Elton John fan and has just started having keyboard lessons.”
The VIP guests will enjoy a Champagne and Pimms reception within Pavilions of Harrogate, a three-course summer meal, VIP Show tickets, a post show party and preferential parking.
