Following the success of White Christmas last year, Harrogate-based St Andrew’s Players are now preparing for their Valentine’s Day spectacular What is Love?

The evening, at the Engine Shed in Wetherby, will celebrate some of the greatest love songs from musicals including Rent, Jersey Boys, Shrek and Les Miserables.

A spokesman said: “The show features some of the finest talent North Yorkshire has to offer, with a number of the leading stars from White Christmas joining the company.

“Having trained at the London School of Musical Theatre, now Leeds-based Susan Wilcock will be performing the heart-rending With You from Ghost, a musical based on the iconic film of the same title.”

Also in the line-up is performing arts graduate Kat Green joins society regular Chris Knight to showcase The Ballad of Barry and Freda (Let’s Do it!).

And Emma Swales, who starred in the leading role in Sister Act at Harrogate Theatre last June, is set to perform in the love-struck show.

Other local talents performing in the concert include: Georgie Gladwyn, Nicole Connor, Ben Walton, Janet Smith, Deborah Richardson, Richard Upton and Lucy Evans.

What is Love shows at the Engine Shed, Wetherby on Sunday February 14 at 7pm. To book tickets visit Harrogate St Andrew’s player’s website at www.hsap.co.uk. For more about the event contact the chairman on 01423 524075, or by email at info@hsap.co.uk.
