Popular pub-based literary group Poems, Prose and Pints builds on the success of its recent fifth anniversary event last month with a high-profile guest writer.

Star of TV and radio, Kate Fox will be performing as part of P, P & P’s monthly meeting at the Tap n Spile pub on Tower Street in Harrogate on Wednesday, October 15.

One of Britain’s best-known performance poets, Kate has been a Poet in Residence on BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live and has been on the bill at the Glastonbury Festival, as well as the Edinburgh Fringe and Ilkley Literature Festival.

Her publications include Fox Populi from Smokestack Books and We Are Not Stone from Ek Zuban Press.

She recently produced the True Grit Digital Poetry Cycle for the Yorkshire Festival and BBC Radio 4 has just commissioned two half hour shows featuring her work to be broadcast in 2015.

Fox’s appearance caps a great run by P, P & P which has seen them publish a new anthology of Yorkshire writers, many of whom have appeared at the Tap n Spile. Published in physical form and available on Amazon, it has been very well received.

The event begins at 7.30pm. As always, it will include an open mic spot where any writer of poetry or prose will be welcome to share their work. Entry is £1.
