A WETHERBY man has hit out at Metro over inaccurate bus service information.
Paul Kirby, of The Chase, Wetherby, has been highlighting what he describes as the “failings” of Metro – the co-ordinators of public bus transport across West Yorkshire – for some time.

Some of Mr Kirby’s concerns include claims that Metro produce inaccurate bus stop and timetable information particularly around the Wetherby district.

Mr Kirby said in an email to the Wetherby News: “Metro is an inefficient, money-wasting bureaucracy in many areas and it makes stupid decisions just to make its own life easier.”

Mr Kirby also claims the organisation is incompetent and constantly changes routes and timetables to the detriment of passengers.

Chairman of Metro, Ryk Downes has responded to Mr Kirby’s concerns in a letter seen by the Wetherby News.

It said: “We are never at any time complacent and are continually seeking ways of improving the effectiveness of the services we provide.”
