THORNER'S Raise the Roof Appeal team are keeping this year's comedy festival line-up under wraps ahead of the event next month.
Top stand-up comedians, including Alan Carr, Michael McIntyre and Russell Howard, have all appeared at Thorner in the past.

But which famous star will appear at this year's festival is so far anyones guess.

The festival takes place in the Victory Hall on Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28 from 8pm.

The Victory Hall now has a new roof thanks to money raised from previous festivals and work on replacing the toilets is now underway.

Other fundraising events in aid of the hall for your diary include The Great Thorner Beer Festival on Saturady, April 25 from Noon until 10pm.

The usual selection of draught ales mainly from small Yorkshire Breweries will be available, food and some suprise entertainment.
