HORSES at a stud farm in Shadwell have had their legs slashed with a knife in a series of vicious month-long attacks.
Wetherby police are investigating five incidents that have taken place in fields belonging to Shadwell Stud Farm over the last three to four weeks.

They believe the attacks are malicious and the horses have been specifically targeted during night hours.

Wetherby PC Steve Lane said: “The stud farm are obviously very upset about this and it’s costing them a lot of money in time and vets fees.

“One of the horses used to show jump but it can’t do that at all anymore because of damage to its tendon.”
