Yorkshire stars set to shine at Walton

SOUTH African ace Jacques Rudolph will be part of the Yorkshire CCC squad on Sunday for a special centenary celebration day at Walton Cricket Club.

The county side will be playing a game against a Walton XI and taking a junior coaching masterclass, to help mark 100 years of cricket at the Wetherby League club.

Also playing are England stars Ryan Sidebottom, Antony McGrath and Craig White, plus Gerard Brophy Joe Sayers, Oliver Hannon-Dalby, Gary Ballance, Rich Pyrah, Joe Root, as well as fitness coach Tom Summers and former Sheffield Wednesday FC man Andy Booth.

Gates open at 12 noon, with play commencing at 1.30pm.

Refreshments and a barbecue will be available all day, while a charity auction and VIP lunch will take place from 3pm.

Junior games will start on the pitch at lunchtime.

The seconds innings is due to commence at 4.30 and the day wraps up altogether at 6pm with a prize presentation.

Tickets are priced £5 in advance for adults or £7 on the door. Children under 14 are admitted free.
