Tips from Wetherby golf club’s Mark Daubney: Control your chipping
In this week’s episode, Mark says: “Accuracy in your short game is crucial to scoring well but when I talk of accuracy, unlike many others, the first thing I think of is distance and NOT direction.
“I see many golfers get excited at a pitch tracking the flag only to see it land 20 yards short or long. Great if you like 60 feet putts.
“If I can control the length, then let’s say I hit it 15 feet left or right I will only have a 15ft putt and if I do happen to hit it at the flag? Bingo, I have a tap in!”
