Event 13 of the Beech House Dental Practice TT league was two laps of Boroughbridge to Marton to Aldborough, totalling fourteen rolling miles on a night of little wind but thick air.

The ladies’ event was yet again dominated by Clifton CC’s Jessica Bacon, who broke the course record with 35:22, ahead of former record holder and league champion Joanne Ketteringham of Nova (37:57), Corinne Mitchell (40:06) andCarolyn Nelson (46:53).

The men’s event was Nova’s Duncan Mullier’s fourth win of the season (32:50), making the runner up spot in the league a virtual certainty when Steve Smales returns to complete his nine events.

Boneshakers’ Paul Lamb (33:12) took his third consecutive second place.

The final podium place was taken by Yorkshire Velo’s Richard Hamilton with 33:26, four seconds ahead of Nova’s Simon Cave with the former closing in on Cave for third spot in the league.
