SUB-ZERO temperatures have once again hampered the progress of our local teams.

Harrogate RUFC’s clash at home to Preston Grasshoppers tomorrow has bitten the dust due to a frozen pitch.

Had it gone ahead, the National Two North contest would have brought rugby league legend Sean Long to Claro Road.

Harrogate Town will also be cooling their heels for another week after their visit to North Manchester hit the skids.

Droylsden FC’s website announced earlier this afternoon that tomorrow’s home game with the Sulphurites had been postponed.

Town will now return to action next Saturday, at Gainsborough Trinity.

Evo-Stik League outfit Harrogate Railway’s clash at home to AFC Farsley tomorrow is another casualty of the weather,

They will hope for better luck at Radcliffe Borough on Tuesday.

The West Yorkshire League fixture list will wait until tomorrow to find out whether their games can go ahead.

Ripon City are due to host Knaresborough Town, so a decision will be made in the morning.

Tadcaster Albion are also waiting on a pitch inspection tomorrow for their game at home to Parkgate.
