Town visit Ossett Albion in County Cup
hsb Harrogate Town v Hinckley. Number 9. (120128M3c)
harrogate Town head back into West Riding County Cup action tonight, in the quarter-final of the competition at Ossett Albion (7.45pm).
Simon Weaver’s troops will take a break from a tough Blue Square North campaign, which saw them pick up three valuable points at home to Hinckley United on Saturday.
The boss was weighing up whether to play his senior squad ahead of Saturday’s league contest at home to Corby Town, or give the U-19s youngsters a chance to make their mark.
Before Saturday’s 2-1 victory Weaver said: “I don’t know at the moment, it’s difficult because in a way if we win it will be nice to keep the same team and get a bit of consistency.”
Victory for Town would set up a home clash against either Bradford Park Avenue or Armthorpe Welfare in the semi-final in March.
The final will be played again at Bradford City’s stadium.
Hosts Albion currently sit 20th in the Evo-Stik First Division North, losing 4-0 at home to Witton Albion in their last home contest.
The last time the sides met was way back in 2001-2002, the match ending in a nil-nil draw at Wetherby Road before a 4-2 replay went Town’s way at the Warehouse Systems Stadium.
