Town get set for Guiseley test
Gainsborough Trinity v Harrogate Town. Trinity player Leon Mettam and Harrogate player Alan White G121802-2b
SIMON Weaver will take his Harrogate Town troops to Guiseley tonight for another stab at their Blue Square North Yorkshire derby.
Town have been thwarted twice in their attempts to play the game.
On New Year’s Day the fixture was called off due to a waterlogged pitch and then it fell foul to the ice later on in the year.
Weaver’s men can move up to the dizzy heights of 12th if they win and Droylsden draw with Corby Town.
However, the Nethermoor outfit will be a tough nut to crack. They currently sit third in the division well placed for a play-off spot in the final standings.
Town will be looking to build on Saturday’s 1-0 victory at Eastwood Town.
They know three points tonight would go a long way to securing their place in the division for another season. A positive result would move them eight points clear of Vauxhall Motors in the relegation places.
