Tad' visit Amateur after Wilkinson Sword exit

TADCASTER Albion will be looking for a response after the heartache of Tuesday night's Wilkinson Sword Trophy semi-final defeat against Bottesford Town.

Paul Marshall’s men slipped to a 2-1 reverse despite taking a 1-0 lead in the contest through Graeme Whitehead’s 25th minute strike.

However Bottesford hit back with a equaliser from the penalty spot a minute before half-time. They then snatched victory on 61 minutes through Luke Clifford.

This followed Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Grimsby Borough, Darren Brandon putting Taddy into a half-time lead but Dean Newby grabbed a share of the spoils with a strike on 61 minutes.

Tomorrow Albion will be looking for a comeback in the league when they travel to Yorkshire Amateur (3pm).

Tad’ need a victory to pull themselves back into promotion contention.

They have a busy week in store. On Tuesday they’ll be seeking immediate revenge for Tuesday’s cup defeat when they make the journey to Bottesford Town in the league (7.45pm).
