HARROGATE Town picked up three precious points and a clean sheet away at Boston United on Saturday.
Alan White opened the scoring for Simon Weaver’s troops, his first half goal ensuring Town went in 1-0 up at the break.
Craig Radcliffe then hit the post not long after the restart but it was Adam Nowakowski who made his presence felt with a goal having returned from long term injury a week ago.
Town then defended well to keep their victory intact.
The win goes a long way towards their bid to stay away from the relegation places.
They welcome relegation candidates Blyth Spartans to the CNG on Easter Monday.
Meantime HARROGATE RAILWAY came within inches of beating Curzon Ashton in the Evo-Stik First Division North, but ultimately had to settle for a 3-3 draw.
Colin Hunter, Jon Maloney and Liam Gray all netted for the Station View men, who are battling to stave off relegation.
They visit Durham City on Easter Monday.
Elsewhere TADCASTER ALBION got back to winning ways with a 3-0 victory at home to Winterton Rangers in the NCEL Premier.
