Magnet look to build

TADCASTER Magnet will look to build on their positive result away at Sewerby on Saturday when they welcome Dringhouses in York Senior Division Two tomorrow (1.30pm start).

Then on Sunday they have a home clash against Stillington in the Readman Trophy to look forward to.

On Saturday Tad’ pulled off a good result away at Sewerby thanks in part to Rich Cattle who cracked 89 with Clark (58) and Phil Hill (36) also in the runs as they set 242-4. Magnet moved to fifth in the table as a result.

Sewerby then made 151-8 in response with Mike Artley (58) and Lewis Brearley (28).

In Division Three THORP ARCH & BOSTON SPA will be eyeing another victory after Saturday’s win over Bubwith. Tomorrow they welcome Harrogate 2nds.

Last Saturday TABS had an eight-wicket haul by Saurabh Joshi to thank as they beat Bubwith.

Mike Cole (69) and Ben Bartlett (47) batted Hawkswell’s side to 194-9 but Joshi then blitzed through the Bubwith order in response taking 8-22 as they collapsed to 90 all out.

TABS are now seventh in the table not far away from their promotion rivals.
