Harrogate Town’s quest for a play-off place suffered a stumble on Saturday afternoon, as they were beaten 2-1 at Brackley Town in the Blue Square North.

Simon Weaver’s troops thrashed their hosts 6-1 at Wetherby Road back in October, but Brackley were in control this time around.

They were 2-0 ahead after goals by Damien Reid and Jefferson Louis either side of half-time, until the second minute of injury time, when Michael Woods pulled back a goal for Town to restore some respectability.

Town travel to FC Halifax Town on Tuesday. Their hosts are also pushing for a play-off place under ex-Wetherby Road boss Neil Aspin.

Meanwhile Harrogate Railway saw a second-half comeback by Radcliffe Borough reduce three Evo-Stik First Division North points to one at Station View.

Billy Miller’s Railway were 2-0 up at the break after Danny Hull’s cross was turned in by a Radcliffe defender, and Alex Hallam powered in another Hull cross.

But Radcliffe hit back with two goals, and although Railway hit the bar in the dying seconds, the final score remained 2-2.

Paul Marshall’s Tadcaster Albion were also held to a draw, 3-3 against Armthorpe Welfare.

Callum Ward opened the scoring in the first half, only for Armthorpe to move 2-1 ahead.

Josh Barrett levelled for Albion before Steve Jeff shot Tadddy into a 3-2 lead, only for Armthorpe to pull back a late goal.

Brian Davey’s Knaresborough Town secured another three points, this time away at AFC Emley in NCEL Division One.

In the West Yorkshire Premier, Boroughbridge were beaten 3-0 at home to Leeds City.

Ripon City shared the spoils from a 2-2 draw at home to Pool, and Wetherby Athletic were beaten 2-1 away at East End Park.
