Football: Six of the best for Bardsey
BARDSEY rampaged to a tremendous 6-0 win away at local rivals Aberford Albion on Saturday.
The West Yorkshire League Premier Division victory keeps Martin Bradley's troops on course to push for league honours this season, with many other games in the division falling victim to the heavy rain over the weekend.
Elsewhere, BARWICK won 6-1 at South Milford and WETHERBY ATHLETIC RESERVES were 5-2 victors over Whitkirk Wanderers in Alliance Division One.
Meantime TADCASTER Albion boss Paul Marshall wants his side to burst back into the NCEL Division One top two when they return to action at title rivals Leeds Carnegie on Monday night (7.45pm ko).
Albion have a league double header against Leeds to get their teeth into, as they welcome them to The Park next Saturday for the return fixture.
"We're out of the top two for the first time this season," said Marshall.
"But we know that can all change against Leeds.
"It's an important game, I went to see them play the other week and they're a lovely footballing side.
"It's probably the worst time of the year to play them too. "They've got a big squad but I've found a few areas of weakness I think I can work on."
