PREDICTABLY cricket was hit hard by the weather at the weekend with only one match played in the Harrogate region.

Whilst the Aire Wharfe and York Senior League saw the majority of their games were wiped out, somehow Masham and Darley played in Nidderdale Division Two. Darley won the contest by four runs.

The weather, however, gave the opportunity for teams to enjoy themselves by trying their hand at other sports on the flooded outfields.
