County joy for Grammar pupil

TADCASTER Grammer School pupil Sam Mottershead has been called up to the Yorkshire Schools Undre 19s side for their annual festival at St Peters School in York next week.

The Clifton Alliance bowler who used to ply his trade for Tadcaster Magnets will take part in the cricket fest from July 12 to the 16th and will be looking to impress against the cream of the crop of local talent.

His father Marc is hopeful Sam shines: “You can really put yourself in the shop window there,” he said.
