CHRIS Kamara was back to his best on Soccer Saturday six days ago.

And now his nephew could be in line for a Tadcaster Albion debut tomorrow, if the weather holds off.

The Brewers have put seven days in for Brighouse Town’s Nathan Kamara.

Taddy boss Paul Marshall is hopeful the utility player, who is comfortable playing at the back or in midfield, will be available for tomorrow’s crunch home test against Parkgate (3pm ko).

“We’ve put seven days in for Nathan,” said Marshall.

“He plays in defence or midfield so will be a useful signing for us, it’s something we’ve been looking at for a while.”

Albion’s game against Barton Town Old Boys, predictably, was frozen off on Saturday.

The rest of the NCEL Premier League followed suit, wiped out due to a healthy covering of the white stuff.

The club will be keeping a keen eye on the forecast for the remainder of the week, with more cold weather set to stay.

“The lads did a good two hour session in the snow on Saturday,” said Marshall.

“It was a good team exercise for the team. We just don’t know what’s going to happen with the weather for the weekend, we will just have to see.

“But we will be getting them prepared and pick the team like any other week.

“It’s another big week for us. Parkgate are around us in the table, so it’s one we really need to win.”

With Kamara’s arrival on the cards, Taddy’s team looks strong on paper.

Marshall has revealed all his men are up for the challenge as they look to get back to winning ways.

Meanwhile, Saturday’s snowed off fixture has been rearranged for April 28, extending the season by seven days.

Marshall isn’t concerned with a potential fixture back log.

“We’ve got plenty of free mid-weeks, we’ll be OK,” he said.
