HARROGATE Town jumped four places in Blue Square North on Tuesday night, after winning 1-0 at Vauxhall Motors.
Town’s second away win of the season came about thanks to Lee Elam’s first goal for his club.
However, the night wasn’t without drama and Simon Weaver could be left sweating on the fitness of Paul Brayson and Adam Nowakowski, who both went off injured during the game.
Ian Ross saw red for two bookable offences.
Town have this week signed forms with St Aidan’s School winger Ben Cohen.
Speaking about the latest player to join the ranks, Weaver said: “He has taken the eye with his performances in training with the first team. He has a good mix of intelligence, attitude and ability.”
“I have always said that I want more local lads in the team and I am hoping that Ben’s signing can encourage other lads to try.”
Ben is a product of Mark Foster’s under 19 team.
Meantime HARROGATE RAILWAY lost 5-1 at home to Garforth Town in the Doodson Cup.
