Harrogate Railway vs. Droylsden

Lee Ashforth has had to wait a week longer than his local managerial counterparts to get Railway’s league campaign up and running, but the wait is finally over as Droylsden arrive at Station View this weekend.

Having spent big over the Summer, Droylsden will prove a tough first opposition to Railway, although nine pre-season friendlies have allowed Ashforth’s newly assembled squad some vital time to gel.

Simon Parkes, Cameron Lynn and Alex Low will be hoping to be part of Railway’s first competetive line-up having missed the final friendly against Field AFC.

Harrogate Town vs. Hednesford Town

After an opening day defeat at Brackley Town, Harrogate Town got a first win of the season at home to Gainsborough Trinity on Tuesday night and will be looking to take that home form into Saturday’s clash with Hednesford.

New signing Brendan Daniels will be pushing for a first start after his two goals on Tuesday night provided Town supporters with encouragement for the season ahead.

Like Town, Hednesford approach the game having recorded a win and a draw in their opening fixtures; overcoming Staylybridge Celtic 2-1 before losing 2-0 at AFC Fylde in midweek.

Hebburn Town vs. Tadcaster Albion

Tadcaster boss Billy Miller will be hopeful of masterminding an FA Cup run with Tadcaster Albion this year; starting on Saturday with a trip to Hebburn Town in the extra-preliminary round.

Despite conceding seven goals in their opening two league fixtures, Tadcaster fans will be expecting Billy Miller’s side to comfortably see off their Northern League Division Two opposition.

Taddy supporters had a good time of it in the cups last season; reaching multiple semi-finals and an FA Cup run this season would further enhance the club’s growing reputation.

Knaresborough Town vs. Westella VIP

Knaresborough Town will be hoping home advantage can help them record a first win of the season on Saturday as they welcome Westella VIP to Manse Lane.

Successive defeats at Teversal and Rossington Main have seen Paul Stansfield’s men endure a difficult start to the campaign, although their pre-season performance against neighbours Harrogate Railway has provided some cause for encouragement.

Westella have had slightly better fortunes in the opening stages of the season; getting up and running with a 4-3 win at Eccleshill United before losing 2-0 away to Hallam.
