Boss Billy Miller insists Harrogate Railway won’t sit back when heading to promotion-chasing pair Curzon Ashton and Ramsbottom United this week.
Saturday’s opponents Curzon top the Evo-Stik First Division North, while Ramsbottom, who Railway play on Tuesday, sit one place below the play-offs.
“We won’t go and park the bus. We will have a go and try and play against these teams,” Miller said.
“Curzon are flying, and Ramsbottom are my favourite team in the league. They are a great model to look at and think, that’s where we want to be.
“It’s going to be really hard but our players should want to test themselves against the best.”
Miller will be boosted by winger Rob Youhill’s return after he was given permission to play with a fractured cheekbone.
Youhill was ruled out as Railway eventually got their campaign back underway on Saturday. The Reds clawed back a point against Radcliffe Borough at Station View.
Nathan Cartman scored first on 54 minutes before Fatlum Ibrahimi rescued a 2-2 draw two minutes before full-time.
Miller thanked a band of young supporters he believes inspired his 13th-placed men to equalise.
“It’s made a huge difference.,” Miller said. “They never shut up. That atmosphere meant we kept going.”
