Harrogate Town were held to a nil-nil draw in Saturday’s Skrill North Yorkshire derby at Bradfored Park Avenue.

Simon Weaver’s men had been eager to build on Tuesday night’s heroics at Altrincham, which shot them up to third in the table, but ultimately had to settle for a point from the contest.

Meantime Harrogate Railway were unlucky to lose 2-1 at home to Bamber Bridge in Evo Stik First Division North.

Alex Metcalfe put Rail back on level pegging shortly before half time after the hosts had gone a goal behind.

But in a howling wind, Bamber grabbed the winner early in the second half while Railway were only able to carve out a handful of scoring chances.

Over in the Northern Counties East League, Tadcaster Albion maintained their promotion push thanks to a 1-0 win at Long Eaton United.

In Division One, Knaresborough Town claimed three points from their 3-1 demolition of Clipstone Welfare.

Meantime, Ripon City hammered relegation-threatened Wetherby Athletic 3-1 in the West Yorkshire League Premier.

Champions Bardsey won 3-0 at Shelley, while Boroughbridge drew 1-1 at home to Otley Town.
