Ripon City have begun their hunt for a new managerial set-up following the departure of boss Paul Vincent.

The club are searching for a first and second team manager to take charge for next season.

City enjoyed a fine West Yorkshire Premier League season, finishing in fifth and scooping the League Cup. The reserves finished 14th in West Yorkshire Alliance Divison One.

Chairman Sue Dennison said the new boss will inherit a squad capable of contending for league honours.

“We are very open minded as to the new manager and are willing to consider all applications on merit,” she said.

“Paul had a huge influence on the squad. It’s thanks to him they feel confident in progressing further. He will be missed.”

Applicants should contact Sue on 01765 603457, dennisonsusan@googlemail.com or post to Ripon City FC, Mallorie Park Drive, Ripon, HG4 2QD.

Defender Simon English claimed the manager’s and players’ player of the year awards at the club’s presentation evening this week. Eric Tyson received clubman of the year for his fundraising exploits.
