Nuneaton Town 0-0 Harrogate Town

Harrogate Town stopped Nuneaton Town gaining ground on them as the points were shared in their trip to fellow play-off hopefuls Nuneaton Town.

Goalmouth chances were limited throughout but Brendon Daniels almost produced another dramatic winner only for his 25-yard effort to be wonderfully saved by Nuneaton stopper Ryan Smith.

Town also welcomed back Paul Beesley from a cruciate knee ligament injury in the second half but the striker, who has been playing at Harrogate Railway to recover fitness, was unable to break the deadlock.

The draw leaves the National League North table as it was, with Town in fourth place on 68 points.

Nuneaton are currently outside of the play-off positions and have a seven-point gap to Town with a game in hand.

Town have just three more matches left to play including Saturday's home clash against fifth-placed Boston United and the following week's trip to second-placed AFC Fylde.

Town's hopes of a home second leg in the play-off semi-finals were also given a boost as North Ferriby United fell to a 2-0 defeat against Stalybridge Celtic.

Vamara Sanogo almost gave Nuneaton an ideal start in the first minute when shooting wide while Louie Swain and Lloyd Kerry had early opportunities for the away side.
