Football: Defeats for Town and Railway but Taddy win and Boro draw

Harrogate Town suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Histon on Saturday.

Town were undone by a 61st minute goal scored by Nathan Hicks.

The reverse drops Simon Weaver’s troops down to seventh in Skrill North.

Harrogate Railway meanwhile lost out 3-2 at Station View, at home to Ossett Albion.

Paul Beesley netted both goals for Billy Miller’s men who sit 15th in the EvoStik First Division North.

There was good news for Paul Marshall’s Tadcaster Albion however, who won 4-1 at home to Nostell Miners Welfare to go sixth in the NCEL Premier.

Brian Davey’s Knaresborough Town drew 0-0 at home to Yorkshire Amateur in NCEL Div One.

They are currently 11th in the table.

In the West Yorkshire Premier, Bardsey hammered Wetherby 4-1 at the Ings, to maintain local bragging rights and stay top of the tbale.

Ripon City were felled 4-1 away at Beeston.

Boroughbridge drew 3-3 at home to East End Park.
