TADCASTER Albion boss Paul Marshall is looking forward to tomorrow's clash against Liversedge (3pm) after their testing fixture against Whitkirk last week.
Albion have already played two pre-season fixtures against York City and Goole, losing 6-0 and 3-2 respectively.

However, with a much changed Taddy side from last season, the manager saw some encouragement in both their displays.

Albion returned to winning ways with their 4-2 win over Whitkirk on Tuesday night and now Marshall has targeted Liversedge for another positive performance.

“We lost 6-0 to York City but it was a good run-out and the main thing was we brought a few spectators through the gates to boost the finances, especially after what happened last season,” said Marshall.

“We had something like 450 through the gate, which was great for the club.

“We then played Goole and we were leading 2-0. Godwin Douglas, who is 37 years old, got both of them.

“They came back in the second half and we made a few defensive mistakes, which we’ve had a word about, but it wasn’t a bad performance.”

Tad continue their pre-season fixtures on Tuesday night at home to Ossett Town (7.30pm ).
