TADCASTER Albion manager Paul Marshall believes his NCEL Division One side are moving in the right direction after their recent strong run of form in the cup competitions.
Dreams of a final place at Wembley are still alive for Albion after Saturday’s well deserved 2-1 victory over Hebburn Town after extra-time in the FA Vase.
James Bonarius grabbed a 55th minute penalty to level proceedings before Brad Dowling score
d the winner three minutes into the added period.
It has set up an interesting clash at home to current Northern League table toppers Spennymoor Town next month with Marshall desperate to have a sustained run in the Vase.
“That’s two wins in a row in the cups and now we just need to do that in the league and pull away from the bottom,” said Marshall.
“We’ve got Barton Town tomorrow and they will be a strong side.
“They’ve got one or two ex-Bridlington Town players and Hall Road players so they’ll be strong.”
One player Tad’ will be without is Ryan Watson who has impressed in his recent outings.
Watson picked up a knee injury on Saturday and will be out of action for two to three weeks.
“It’s a shame for him,” added Marshall.
“He’ll be out for three or four weeks now but we’ve got people to come back in. We’re doing ok for numbers at the moment and that’s good for us.”
Albion continued their NCE First Division campaign on Tuesday night with a disappointing 4-0 defeat away at Appleby Frodingham.
