TADCASTER Magnet return to Division Two action tomorrow eyeing a return to form at home to Carlton Towers (1.30pm start) after their Bank Holiday disappointment against Whitkirk.
On Saturday Magnet bowled first and restricted the home side to 206-9 on a difficult pitch with Bruce Wetherhill the pick of the bowlers with 5-36.

Clark’s 55 with the bat and support from Anthony Daniels (30) and Ed Day (29) pushed Tad’ close to victory but Paul Johnson’s five-wicket haul proved crucial as the away side closed on 171-9.

Meanwhile, Andy Hawkswell’s Thorp Arch & Boston Spa are in need of a victory when they visist Stillington tomorrow (1.30pm).

TABS are struggling for form on the early season wet decks and will be eyeing a win to pull them back into the Division Three promotion race.

On Saturday TABS made a competitive 171-7 batting first, Mike Cole (45) and Andy Heaps (29no) in the runs.

Acomb skipper Neil Grant then smashed 94 not out in return to bat his side to victory on 171-7.
