TADCASTER MAGNET kept up their bid for a top-three place in Division Two after beating promotion-chasing Whitkirk by 29 runs in a bowler-dominated match.
Tad’ were dismissed for only 87, but captain Paul Clark’s 5-15 helped skittle the visitors for just 58.

With Sewerby dropping points in a tense draw against Beverley Town II, Tad’ have moved to within four points of fifth placed Sewerby and they will be looking for victory when they travel to Carlton Towers tomorrow (1.30pm start).

In Division Three THORP ARCH AND BOSTON SPA will hope to continue chasing down second place Londesborough Park when they host Stillington tomorrow.

TABS remain 45 points off the lead, but only 26 behind their nearest rivals following Saturday’s 80-run victory at Acomb.

On Saturday Andy Hawkswell’s men posted a score of 164-7 behind D Shaw’s 48no before Will Barlett (4-13) and Richard Lindsey (3-14) combined to dismiss Acomb for 84.
