COLLINGHAM captain Toby Jacklin believes his side will continue fighting for the title despite their devastating 26-point deduction by the Aire Wharfe League this week for an inadvertant infringement of a league rule concerning a player transfer.
Jacklin's side were slapped with the punishment after failing to sign transfer forms with Kirkstall Education concerning first team player Rob Sharma.
The upshot means Collingham have slipped from second top in the Division One to third bottom.
Sharma- a Leeds University student from Kent- had played for Kirkstall last season unbeknown to Collingham who thought they didn't need to sign a transfer form.
However when it emerged he had played in the Aire Wharfe last year for Kirkstall, Collingham were deducted all the points earned when Sharma played in their team this season.
Collingham have now completed the transfer form and the signing has been posted on the official Aire Wharfe website this week.
The decision has blown the title race wide open again but Jacklin says his men will carry on with business when they return to action ironically against Kirkstall tomorrow (home, 1.30pm start).
"It's ruined the whole year but we've just got to get on with it now," said Jacklin.
"We've just got to concentrate on winning every game for the rest of the season and we'll be probably still up there at the end.
"We'll just keep playing and you never know we may win all 14 and be in with a chance."
On Saturday Collingham's captain continued his superb start to the season scoring 51 with support from Brian Leigh (71) and Sam Anderson (46) (as they posted 226 all out.
Otley were never in the hunt in response thanks to Eugene Burzler's 3-58 and Jacklin's 5-36 as they closed on 160-8 to take the 5-1 win.
BARDSEY are off and rolling in Division Two with skipper Gary Hopton toasting a fine weekend on and off the pitch for himself at the weekend.
Hopton celebrated his 30th birthday this week and with a morale boosting victory under his belt against Bilton on Saturday it was a weekend to cheer at Keswick Lane.
Now the focus is on fellow strugglers Harden with Hopton desperate to build on Saturday superb one-wicket success.
"It was a cracking win," said Hopton.
"The game was reduced to 35 overs and they got up to 145.
"We were struggling but we managed to win by one wicket in the end. It was edge of your seat time but we managed to get there in the end.
"It was great because it was my 30th birthday on Monday and we had a party at the club over the weekend so we all had a good time.
"Now hopefully we'll be able to build on it. We've got Harden this week, we played them in the cup this season and we managed to get 200 against them before.
"They've been struggling too this season so hopefully we'll be able to put in another good performance. We'll take a bit of confidence from last week and hopefully we've got that winning feeling now."
On Saturday Division Two new boys Bilton were able to post a competitive 145 with Darren Simpson (62) and Carl Tietjens (30) scoring the runs, Sameer Manjrekar the leading wicket taker with 5-66.
Bardsey were then in deep trouble slipping to 3-2 in reply but Hopton's 28 helped them on their way before some later order hitting from Tom Clayton (45) helped them home by one wicket.
