A series of workshops are being held to help small and medium-sized companies deal with key business issues, as part of a new partnership between Business Support York and North Yorkshire (BSYNY) and Selby District Council.
Building on an already successful range of support available via BSYNY, Selby District Council is part-funding a new series of sessions aimed at giving small enterprises the information and support they need, while offering an opportunity to network and build business contacts.
The next of these sessions will be held at the Civic Centre, Selby, on Monday 24 February (10am to midday) and it deals with how companies can benefit from embracing social media as a way of building their brand and customers.
This particular session focuses on the use of Facebook as a way of connecting with clients and customers.
The half day support sessions will run regularly throughout the year, covering a wide range of important issues such as marketing, finance and legal support, but the focus of the programme will depend on feedback from businesses involved.
