Youth services boost

young people in Tadcaster and Sherburn are set to benefit from new activities at drop-in sessions.

North Yorkshire County Council this week announced the moves during its reorganisation of Youth Support Service staff.

Activities and events are being planned throughout the year at clubs and centres including, Tadcaster and Sherburn to help youngsters gain advice and guidance on issues such as employment substance misuse and teenage pregnancy.

County Coun Arthur Barker, North Yorkshire’s Executive Member for Youth Services, said: “We believe we have created a first-class youth support service which will be of great benefit to the young people of North Yorkshire.
