Upper Nidd news

Middlesmoor and Wath Telephone Boxes: A reminder, that if you haven't already returned your questionnaire on your village BT phone box to either myself at Middlesmoor, or Jane Carter at Wath, it would be very much appreciated if you would do so in order that the results can be forwarded to the Upper Nidderdale Parish Council for March 1. Thank you very much.

Upper Nidderdale Flower Club: The next meeting will take place at Lofthouse Village Hall on Thursday March 4 at 7.45pm, when Kath Doggett will give a demonstration entitled 'This time of year'. Visitors very welcome.

Mobile Library: The van returns to our area on Tuesday March 2 times as follows: Station House, Bouthwaite 10.30-10.50am; Lofthouse School 11.10-11.30am; Crown Hotel, Lofthouse 11.35-11.50am; Middlesmoor 12-12.10pm; Wath lay-by 1.05-1.15pm; Low Wood Farm 1.25-1.35pm.

How Stean Exhibition: This weekend is the last chance to view the art work of Teresa Boast at How Stean Gorge cafe. Teresa, known for her paintings of quirky sheep, is popular with many people in the Dale, so if you would like to see more of her original art and prints, then why not go along to How Stean to take a closer look and enjoy a cuppa at the same time.

Niddart 10: Steve Boast informs us of the following: "From August 21-30, there will be a Dale wide event, taking in all disciplines and standards of work. From Middlesmoor down to Killinghall, artists will be holding open studios, exhibitions and demonstrations. The event will take the form of Art Trails, one of which will cover the Upper Dale, so if you would like to be involved, please contact Steve Boast on 711915 or email steve@boastess.co.uk
