Tiny tots get dressed up for Halloween fun

Baby pumpkins and scary skeletons swept through village halls across the district after scores of tiny tots celebrated trick or treat in style.

Babies aged 0 – 13 months celebrated Halloween and Bonfire Night in one hit after dressing up for pumpkin parties as part of their Baby Sensory classes.

The classes are run in Alwoodley, Linton and Harrogate and see babies developed through music, massage, light and sounds.

Teacher Emma English, 39, from Wighill, near Wetherby, said: “It’s been an extra special week for our babies who have absolutely loved dressing up in their costumes, playing with pumpkins and learning about Halloween and Bonfire Night.”

Baby Sensory Classes are now so popular that more than 1 in 75 babies nationally now attend a local class.

The programme is the brainchild of Dr Lin Day and supports the early development of babies through sensory experiences. She says scientific research increasingly supports the view that rich sensory experiences from birth can help develop future intelligence. One of the most crucial periods for development is the first three months of life.

Baby Sensory classes are held in Linton on Tuesdays, Alwoodley on Wednesdays and Harrogate on Thursdays. For more information contact Emma English on: 07721 885724.
